Why should you not use the trailer hand brake to straighten out a jackknifing trailer?
Answer: Since the wheels on the trailer were the cause of the skid in the first place, using the trailer hand brake is the wrong thing to do when attempting to straighten out a jackknifing trailer because you can possibly lock-up the trailer wheels again causing the skid to continue.
